Clips for Cancer, where local community leaders allow pediatric cancer survivors to shave their heads, raised $300,000 to benefit Barbara’s Friends – Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida with support services for children diagnosed with cancer.
Calusa Sportsman Foundation fishing tournament raised $120,000 for Valerie's House.

Champions For Learning has awarded 210 checks totaling more than $100,000 in grants to teachers in 50 Collier County schools.
The Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation has awarded Child's Path a $45,000 grant to support its Bright Paths Scholarship fund.
Collier Resource Center received a $20,000 grant from Moorings Park Foundation to increase outreach to seniors.
Comerica Bank donated $15,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County for its “Grand Slam for Great Futures” campaign, which provides scholarships for children and teens whose families could not otherwise afford the full cost of programs. The bank also donated new school supplies.
The Public Relations Society of America’s Gulf Coast Chapter (PRSA) donated a $500 check to Dream Flights to fund two additional flights for veterans.
Avow Hospice and St. Vincent de Paul Society, Naples District Council (SVdP Naples) will work together to provide meals for patients in Avow’s hospice house while the facility undergoes renovation of its kitchen.
Core Health Partners has launched medical services at Grace Place Center for Children and Families.
Midwest Food Bank is benefiting from the efforts of two local grocery chains:
Publix Super Market Charities has donated funds toward a 53-foot trailer for Midwest Food Bank Florida; and
Winn-Dixie Floral Program: Bloomin’ 4 Good will benefit the food bank with every bouquet purchased.
Volunteers at Golden PAWS Assistance Dogs train puppies to work as service dogs for either a combat wounded veteran or child with life-changing disabilities.
The Advocacy Committee of the Zonta Club of Naples recently completed an art installation project at Golden Gate High School, Naples, intended to inspire and empower students with positive and encouraging messages. The Club donated all materials and the Advocacy committee members created art designs and hand-painted artwork.
Alliance for Period Supplies of SWFL has received three grants from Community Foundation totaling $14,500.
Moorings Park Foundation recently awarded The Immokalee Foundation a $10,000 grant to support career-focused educational programming and training through the foundation’s Healthcare Pathway program.
